The men behind world-famous fashion line Dolce & Gabbana may be fashionably late by two years should a Milan prosecutor get his way.

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are on trial for tax evasion for failing to declare $1.3 billion in income to tax authorities, according to the Telegraph.

The prosecutor in the case asked that each of the designers be sentenced to two years and six months in prison, Philly.com reported.

The two sold Dolce & Gabbana and D&G to a Luxembourg-based holding company in 2004. Italian authorities claim that moving the company to Luxembourg allowed the designers to avoid corporate tax in Italy.

The men were ordered to pay a 343.4 million-euro fine to the tax commission of Italy in a separate trial stemming from the same tax evasion investigation.
