In a roundtable discussion hosted by Al Día News at The Union League in Philadelphia on Friday, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett laughed off the question of why there are no Latinos in his administration by saying, "If you can find us one let me know."
Corbett noted that Pennsylvania’s 800,000 Latino residents represent about 6.8 percent of the population, and a 2008 survey found that Harrisburg's metropolitan region “is home to more than 18,000 people of Hispanic or Latino origin,” one third of whom live in the city of Harrisburg.
