No, it's not April Fool's Day. So it's unclear why Diddy's Twitter feed has suddenly been decked out with a "Downton Abbey" background and profile picture.

The 43-year-old rapper, producer and occasional actor surprised social media users Wednesday evening with the announcement that he had become "a series regular" on his "favorite show," the ITV/PBS costume drama "Downton Abbey."

Diddy also Instagrammed photos of himself "from the set" wearing a tuxedo.

PBS reps have denied the claims coming from Diddy's social media pages.

"It’s simply not true," PBS told Entertainment Weekly.

Does that mean Diddy's Twitter account has been hacked? Or does the hip-hop mogul have a "Downton Abbey" music video up his sleeve?

UPDATED: It's a Funny or Die video.
