"Due to the smash success of '#Beautiful,' fans are clamoring as Mariah makes plans for a world tour," the source told Us Weekly.

As of now, "#Beautiful" has hit number one in 25 countries and the top five in 45.

The 43-year-old mother of twins has not made any comment regarding the tour or the reports that she might be leaving American Idol.

If she does end up going on tour, this would be Carey's first world-wide journey since her Charmbracelet Tour in 2004.
