Jeff Gordon has decided to sell his beautiful New York City apartment overlooking Central Park West because, as his listing broker put it, “the demand for trophy apartments is pretty strong.”

The NASCAR champion spends most of his time in Charlotte, N.C., but bought the three-bedroom apartment for $9.6 million back in 2007. The investment clearly paid off, because Halstead Property has listed the refurbished home for a whopping $30 million.

According to The New York Times, Gordon's 3,454 square-foot apartment features Brazilian cherry floors, rift-cut oak doors, Central Park views, a ceiling covered in ecru leather and a 743 square-foot master suite.

The building, 15 Central Park West, contains a 14,000-sf fitness center, 75-foot sky-lit lap pool, screening room, wine room, game room, library and children's playroom.
