Gwyneth Paltrow ditches underwear at "Iron Man 3" premiere

Gwyneth Paltrow revealed a whole lot of skin at the Hollywood premiere of "Iron Man 3" Wednesday.

The actress, who stars in the film as Pepper Pots -- Iron Man's love interest --, walked the red carpet of the El Capitan Theatre in a sheer dress that displayed her incredibly toned legs and gluts.

At 40 years old Paltrow is aware that she has a great figure. She was recently quoted telling a story about a compliment she got on her fit posterior when trying on bathing suits with a friend.

"I said, 'You know, this isn't so bad for 40, right?'" Paltrow recalled to reporters on April 4. "And [my friend] goes, 'It's not so bad for a 22-year-old stripper!'"

The Academy Awards winning actress told E! she chose the dress because it had a "superhero thing happening."

"It's very see-through," she told E! reporters on the red carpet. "I just thought it was really beautiful and it sort of has a superhero thing happening."

"Iron Man 3" premieres Friday, May 3.
