Melissa King -- the 19-year-old former Miss Teen Delaware who resigned her crown amid rumors she participated in a sex tape -- appeared in court Monday facing outstanding charges of theft and underage alcohol consumption.

The Daily Mail reports King showed up to the Worcester County District Court in Ocean City, Md. where she faces charges of alcohol violation and theft for allegedly stealing money from a bus driver's fare box.

The former beauty queen was given a one year probation on the alcohol consumption charge and the theft charge was dropped.

An arrest warrant was issued against King in 2012 shortly after she exited foster care and failed to show up to court on her citation for the charges.

According to the Mail, the theft charge came after King and a friend took money from a city bus fare box. The underage drinking charge came after police officers found an open bottle of rum in a car were King was a passenger. The driver later admitted to owning the bottle.

Her attorney, Greg Hannigan, said his client was "relieved" with the results of the hearing.

King said she was excited to have been accepted into college and was looking forward to pursuing a career in journalism. She refused to answer any questions regarding the alleged appearance in a sex tape that cost her her title as Miss Teen USA.
