Late Sunday night, thieves in the German town of Bad Hersfeld made off with 5.5 tons of the chocolate-hazelnut spread lifted from a parked trailer.

The haul of Nutella, manufactured by Italian company Ferrero, is worth an estimated 16,000 euros, or $20,710.

German authorities said Monday that an unknown number of thieves pulled off the heist. German news reported that this isn't the first time thieves have struck that area. Several tons of Red Bull energy drinks were stolen in an earlier robbery at the same spot, and two weeks ago thieves unloaded a truckload of coffee in the same town.
