'Walking Dead' goofs NYT ad, credits wrong networks for shows

By Kristen Butler, UPI.com

AMC put out a full page ad in The New York Times touting the ratings success of "The Walking Dead." In the ad, they said that ABC's "Modern Family" airs on Fox and NBC's "The Voice" on ABC.

The zombie apocalypse drama is the top-rated scripted series among adults 18-49 this season, beating every show on cable and broadcast. The ad correctly pointed out the show's dominance over "The Big Bang Theory" on CBS, Fox's "American Idol" and The History Channel's successful miniseries "The Bible."

After Entertainment Weekly reported the blunder, AMC issued a statement. "It appears our fact checking department was overrun by zombies. We have the utmost respect for these shows and networks."
