[VIDEO] Time traveler captured in 1938 film talking on a cellphone

A video -- apparently shot in 1938 -- of a woman talking on a cellphone has gone viral as many are claiming the lady in the clip is a 21st century time traveler.

The video, reportedly shot outside a Dupont factory in Massachusetts, was posted on YouTube on March 30, 2012. It went viral recently as a commenter wrote the woman in the video was actually his great grandmother, Gertrude Jones.

"She was 17 years old," YouTube user planetcheck wrote. "I asked her about this video and she remembers it quite clearly. She says Dupont had a telephone communications section in the factory. They were experimenting with wireless telephones. Gertrude and five other women were given these wireless phones to test out for a week. Gertrude is talking to one of the scientists holding another wireless phone who is off to her right as she walks by."

Some commenters believe the small size and sleek shape of the phone make it impossible for it to be a 1938 prototype, but planetcheck has stood strong behind his argument.

"Maybe they decided it was too far advanced for people and they abandoned the idea," the commenter wrote. "The Romans invented concrete. But it was quickly forgotten and not invented for another thousand years later."
