Taylor Swift has signed on to star on Fox's "New Girl" season finale.
The L.A. Times reports the 23-year-old singer will be playing the role of "Elaine," an "important guest" at Cece's (Hannah Simone) and Shivrang's (Satya Bhabha) wedding.
Though Swift won't be playing herself on the show, "New Girl," which stars Zooey Deschanel as the quirky new roommate of three male friends, has given multiple shoutouts to the singer.
In a previous episode Schmidt, played by Max Greenfield, said he was experiencing a "Taylor Swift-like range of emotions" after his breakup with Cece. And in another, Deschanel's character, Jess, said she "just wanted to listen to Taylor Swift alone," after splitting with Dr. Sam.
Swift's previous acting credits include "Saturday Night Live," "CSI" and "Valentine's Day." The singer is scheduled to tape her appearance next week for an episode that will air on May 14.
