Lindsay Lohan showed up to court last January sporting a brand new tattoo on her right arm, which featured a double triangle atop the quote, "What dreams may come," from Shakespeare.
The New York Post reported Friday that the tattoo actually symbolizes her relationship with friend Liam McMullan. A source told the paper that the pair, "got matching tattoos in a private, secret, spiritual ceremony" at the home of Lohan's mom, Dina.
“The triangles represent danger and hazards, and the two spiritual energies inside each other," the source said. "It represents their souls and hearts, and the dangers out there, and that they must follow their dreams.”
McMullan, whose ex-fiancee Aesha Walks calls Lohan a "homewrecker," told the Post that he and the troubled 26-year-old actress still had a strong connection.
“There could be a future for us. I want Lindsay to take care of herself ... This is her big moment. It all comes down to this -- it’s all under her control. We should all support Lindsay."
Lohan narrowly avoided jail time this month after pleading no contest to reckless driving and agreeing to 90 days in rehab as part of a plea deal with a Los Angeles judge. Lohan visited Sao Paulo, Brazil, this week to fulfill her promotional obligations for John John Denim. She's also scheduled to attend the Coachella Music Festival before she starts rehab May 2.
