The world's second-most famous mouse was invited to the Paris fashion house of Lanvin to get her very own designer makeover.

French designer Alber Elbas welcomed Minnie Mouse to Chez Lanvin to give Disney's leading lady a brand new look for the 20th anniversary of Disneyland Paris.

Minnie exchanged her trademark red polka dots for a custom-made, bejeweled dress in signature Lanvin royal blue.

"Walt Disney was the one that actually designed Minnie. It's the first time an actual designer has come into the picture and designed a dress for her," said Elbas, the creative director of Lanvin. "It was a great challenge and responsibility to do. I just wanted her to shine."

The new look was unveiled at a catwalk show at Disneyland Paris, but it won't be replacing Minnie's signature outfit: the dress will be reserved for special events in Paris.

And, unlike a controversial Barney's campaign that saw the mouse and her friends get physical "skinny" makeovers as well as fashion, this time Minnie keeps the same fabulous figure she's sported since 1928.
