Pippa Middleton has been dropped by her literary agent, a report announced Friday.

According to the Christian Post, Kate Middleton's sister has ended her shot-lived partnership with David Godwin following poor book sales from her party planning book.

Pippa's book, "Celebrate: A Year of British Festivities for Families and Friends" was expected to be a hit given her new celebrity status. But not only did the book get questionable reviews, it also only managed to sell 2,000 copies in its first week on the market.

Sales were reportedly so poor that many retail outlets marked off up to 75 percent of the book's price in their attempt to get rid of the stock.

Godwin's parting statement from the royal sister-in-law said he was "very sorry it has happened, but yes, it is true: I no longer represent Pippa and I wish her very good luck."

Nevertheless, Pippa's literary career is far from being over. Starting in April she will pen a column called "Pippa’s Friday Night Feasts" for Waitrose Kitchen magazine.
