Carnie Wilson diagnosed with Bell's Palsy

Wilson Phillips singer Carnie Wilson is recovering from a bout of Bell's Palsy, a form of temporary paralysis that causes drooping of the face.

Wilson, 44, tweeted about her condition March 14, reassuring fans that the disorder, which was affecting the left side of her face, would go away soon.

Calling it "scary" and "unfortunate," Wilson kept her spirits up with a positive attitude: "A challenge!" she tweeted.

Wilson said she was treating the palsy with acupuncture, and that she had dealt with the condition before, on the right side of her face.

"Remember I go public because its gonna help someone else with same thing," she wrote.

On Tuesday, 12 days after the diagnosis, Wilson said her smile was "70 percent back!" and that her kids were keeping her laughing.

The singer, daughter of Beach Boys star Brian Wilson, has often been public about her health issues, including a struggle with her weight.
