Take your picture on the Iron Throne

HBO has released details for the "Game of Thrones" exhibition's stop in New York City. The event will run from March 28 through April 3 to line up with the show's March 31 premiere.

The exhibition will be presented by HBO and Time Warner Cable and general admission will be free. According to HBO's statement the event will showcase various props, costumes, weapons and armor from all 3 seasons.

The event promises to "transport viewers into the breathtaking and enchanted world of Westeros." The Blackwater Bay Interactive Experience will place fans "amid the action of the epic battle of Blackwater Bay from season 2." Fans will also be able to take their photos on a precise replica of the iron throne from the series.

HBO has announced that the event website GOTExhibition.com will launch Monday with more details.
