David Copperfield has sawed himself in half and walked through the Great Wall of China, but the famed illusionist was still a little worried when his New York-bound plane made an emergency landing in Peoria, Ill., Monday morning.

Copperfield was on his way to the Big Apple for a "Today" show appearance when a "loud noise" forced the flight crew to make an emergency landing. The magician fired tweets from the plane that described the experience as "so scary."

He also tweeted a photo of his diverted flight path: \ "Happy to be on the ground and safe," Copperfield tweeted from the airplane hangar in Peoria. Undaunted by the unscheduled Midwestern layover, Copperfield called on an airport worker to help him with an illusion for the "Today" show audience.
