Using the hashtag, #WORMinNorthKorea, Dennis Rodman has kept Twitter users up-to-date on his adventures in North Korea, where the heavily tattooed retired basketball player is scheduled to play in a series of exhibition games with the Harlem Globetrotters.

"It's true, I'm in North Korea. Looking forward to sitting down with Kim Jung Un [sic]. I love the people of North Korea," Rodman tweeted when he arrived in Pyongyang, where a group of North Korean reporters had assembled to greet him. North Korean state media uploaded this video of Rodman's arrival, which the athlete-ambassador linked to over Twitter.

"I come in peace," he assured the North Koreans.

Rodman has already made one diplomatic gaffe, tweeting that he hoped to meet Psy, of "Gangnam Style" fame, while in the country. Psy immediately corrected him.

Rodman's agent has claimed that he has plans to meet with Kim Jong Un, who's reportedly a big basketball fan. His father, Kim Jong Il, is said to have enjoyed the Chicago Bulls, where Rodman played in the 1990s.

Whether Rodman's appearance will do anything to quell rising tensions between Kim's isolationist state and the U.S. remains to be seen. But at least we can count on him to stay grounded.
