Larry Bird's son arrested after trying to run over ex

The basketball star's adopted son, Connor Bird got into a dispute Sunday with his ex-girlfriend at Bird’s Bloomington apartment.

Police told The Indianapolis Star that Bird threw a cell phone at the woman and later waited at her home and took her to a parking lot to talk. They got into another fight there, at which point the ex-girlfriend got out of his car and began to walk home. That's when police say Bird tried to run her over with his car, not once, but twice. A student witness took the woman to the Indiana University Police Department.

According to IU police, Bird faces multiple charges including battery with injury, criminal mischief, intimidation with a deadly weapon and possession of marijuana.
