Two winning tickets, one trip: Couple wins lottery twice on the same day

For one Arkansas couple, lighting not only struck twice in the same place, it happened on the same day.

Terri and Stephen Weaver of Stuttgart, Ark., purchased separate lotto tickets from a convenience store, scratching off winnings for $50,000 and $1 million, respectively, The Magnolia Reporter said.

The total cost of the two tickets? $30.

The Weavers were headed out for a fishing trip in Pangburn, a town about 60 miles northeast of Little Rock, when the stopped into a T-Ricks convenience store to buy the first ticket. The stopped for the second ticket on the way home.

The lottery commission said the Weavers, who claimed their winnings Monday, planned to pay off bills and and make some investments with their new windfall.
