To no one's surprise, Homeland cleaned up in the television drama categories at Sunday's Golden Globes, cementing its status as one of the best and most-loved shows on air.

Homeland took home the trophies for Best Drama Series, Best Actress (Claire Danes) and Best Actor (Damian Lewis), adding to a large and growing pile of swag awarded to the Showtime series.

(If you haven't watched the second season of Homeland, spoilers ahead. Also, go watch Homeland immediately.)

In the season finale that aired last month, the fate of Lewis's tortured and twisted Nicholas Brody was left ambiguous.

Did he orchestrate the bombing at the CIA? Was he as innocent as Carrie (Danes) believed him to be? Was his emotional goodbye going to be the last we saw of him?

The answers to those questions will have to wait, but according to Homeland executive producer Howard Gordon, Brody will definitely be making an appearance in the third season of the show.

“He’s alive so of course he’ll be back,” Gordon said told TVLine at the Fox afterparty. “One of the great challenges of next [season] is how he’ll be back. But there’s no doubt that he will be back.”

Lewis has a seven-year contract with Showtime for Homeland, but he told EW that his long-term job security is by no means a sure thing.

“[It] doesn’t mean anything,” he told EW. “They can kill me whenever they want.”
