President Obama is set to nominate former Sen. Chuck Hagel as the Secretary of Defense, and John Brennan to run the CIA in a personnel announcement Monday afternoon.

Hagel, himself a Republican, may face steep opposition from GOP Senators over his stances on Israel and Iraq, and from Democrats over past statements on gay servicemen and women.
