There's mild curiosity concerning Mitt Romney's post-election night activities, especially after losing the presidency to Barack Obama reportedly left him "shellshocked." While SNL imagined Romney drowning his sorrows in milk, TMZ caught him on the way to see the final Twilight movie, "Breaking Dawn: Part 2" with his wife Ann.

Trending on Reddit today is this photo of what user mkb95 says is the defeated presidential candidate pumping his own gas at a station in La Jolla, CA -- sans Secret Service protection. "Mitt Romney at my local gas station.. he looks tired and washed up," the tagline reads.

"I talked to him for a good three minutes while he was filling his tank. I guess he's moving to one of his houses in the town I live in, La Jolla," mkb95 added.

While it's pretty striking to see Romney's hair look so disheveled, some commenters pointed out that it might be unfair to judge the former candidate's life post-election based on his appearance at a gas station (We've all been there). "As much as I do not agree with Romney, I think the dude deserves to have a bad hair day after a long and tedious campaign," lickmyschnauzer wrote.

Others noted how odd it must feel to transition from political candidate to private citizen.

"It is pretty amazing that in such a short period of time you can go from missing becoming the leader of one of the most powerful countries in the world by a couple % to pumping your own gas like everyone else," Redditor agwayclerk pointed out.

Twitter user @thegirlss snapped this alternate photo of Romney at the same station:
