Directed by Julian Jarrolds ("Becoming Jane"), "The Girl" focuses on the bizarre relationship between director Alfred Hitchcock, played by Toby Jones, and his two-time leading lady Tippi Hedren, during the making of "The Birds" and "Marnie."
The film dramatizes the young Hedren's relationship with the obsessive Hitchcock, who reportedly made sexual advances against her and blacklisted her from future films.
