Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Daddy's Home 2 star Will Ferrell attended the film's premiere with his family Sunday.
The 50-year-old actor brought wife Viveca Paulin and their three sons, 13-year-old Magnus, 10-year-old Mattias and 7-year-old Axel, to the event at Regency Village Theatre in Los Angeles.
Ferrell and his family were all smiles as they posed for photos together on the red carpet. The group wore outfits in coordinating shades of blue, with Ferrell and his sons in suits and Paulin in a printed dress.
Fellow Daddy's Home 2 stars Mark Wahlberg, Mel Gibson, Linda Cardellini and Alessandra Ambrosio also attended the premiere. Noticeably absent was John Lithgow, who plays Ferrell's character's dad in the movie.
"He and Will's characters completely adore each other, and every minute it's as if they haven't seen each other in years," the 72-year-old actor recently told NJ.com. "They're so totally overboard -- it was a lot of fun to play."
Wahlberg, who shares 14-year-old Ella, 11-year-old Michael, 9-year-old Brendan and 7-year-old Grace with wife Rhea Durham, said on the Sept. 5 episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show that Ella is in touch with Ferrell's son Magnus.
"I thought [Magnus] was a lovely lad until I realized that he has formed some sort of communication with my oldest child," Wahlberg said.
"They're following each other on Instagram," Ferrell confirmed.
Daddy's Home 2 opens in theaters Friday, Nov. 10.
