Migrants wait to apply for U.S. asylum at border (20 images)

Migrants, many traveling from Central America in a caravan through Mexico, are camped at the U.S. border at Tijuana, across from San Diego, Calif. Some have been waiting for weeks to apply for asylum in the United States. The mood at the camp has been subdued since U.S. officials fired tear gas on a group as they approached the international line on Sunday.
