Japan marks the 79th anniversary of World War II surrender (8 images)

Japan marked the 79th anniversary of its surrender in World War II during an event in Tokyo on Thursday to honor victims killed during the conflict. Japan's Prime Minister Fumio Kishida spoke at the event, which Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako attended.
