Iraqi government forces battle ISIS militants in bid to retake Fallujah(43 images)

Gains made by security forces have been marred by accusations that Shiite militias have tortured captured civilians fleeing the besieged city in western Anbar Province.

Retaking the area around Zankoura was an attempt by IS to distract Iraqi forces in Anbar province, where a big battle to retake Fallujah is going on. Photo by Abbas Mohammed /UPI | License Photo
