June 13 (UPI) -- AstraZeneca announced Saturday that it has reached an agreement with the Inclusive Vaccines Alliance of Europe to supply as many as 400 million doses of the University of Oxford's COVID-19 vaccine, with deliveries beginning at the end of the calendar year.
The initiative was spearheaded by Germany, France, Italy and the Netherlands, but the pharmaceutical company said it aims to make the vaccine available to other European countries that wish to participate.
