Sept. 21 (UPI) -- The National Hurricane Center downgraded Tropical Storm Lorena on Sunday to a depression and then a broad area of low pressure as it moved along the coast of western mainland Mexico.
In its last advisory at 9 a.m. MDT update, the NHC said the center of the post-tropical cyclone was about 65 miles north-northwest of Guaymas, Mexico,. It was moving northward at 9 mph with 30 mph maximum sustained winds. In its 3 a.m. update, Lorena was downgraded to a depression.
