Sept. 6 (UPI) -- Henrik Olssen Lilja, a Swedish attorney who represented rapper A$AP Rocky in an assault case this summer, was shot multiple times Friday in an ambush in Stockholm, authorities said.
Lilja called police to report he'd been shot in the head and back at an apartment building in the Swedish capital, and was taken to a hospital. His condition was described as "serious, but stable."
Police later said they'd arrested a suspect. The Local reported she is a former attorney who'd been barred from communicating with Lilja.
Lilja defended the American musician, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, on charges of assault stemming from a brawl in June. Mayers was allowed to leave Sweden and was given a two-year suspended sentence last month.
Authorities said they weren't sure whether the ambush was tied to the case or his high-profile clients.
"Police have arrested several people for questioning," the Swedish Police Authority said. "The investigation is at an intense stage and the police are working on several different fronts to make progress."
