Sept. 5 (UPI) -- A car bomb exploded in downtown Kabul, Afghanistan, Thursday killing at least 10 people, including one soldier from the United States and another from Romania, Operation Resolute Support said in a statement.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack that occurred at 10:10 a.m. local time. A suicide bomber detonated a car at the National Directorate of Security checkpoint. The attack also left at least 42 people wounded. The building houses Afghan special forces and a small contingent of international soldiers.
