Nov. 24 (UPI) -- Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will move to Windsor from the grounds of Kensington Palace in London, the palace announced Saturday, six months after their marriage.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are expecting their first child early next year, have lived at Nottingham Cottage since they were engaged last year. The cottage was a two-bedroom home.

Their new home will be Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor Estate, west of London, the palace said.

The wedding of Harry, 34, and Meghan, 37, took place last May at Queen Elizabeth's residence Windsor Castle and the wedding reception was at Frogmore House, near their new home.

"Windsor is a very special place for Their Royal Highnesses and they are grateful that their official residence will be on the estate," the palace announed.

Frogmore's name comes from the high number of frogs that live in the low-lying marshy area near the River Thames.

Their office will continue to be based at Kensington Palace, about 20 minutes from their new home.

Brother William and wife Kate live in Apartment 1 on the Kensington Palace grounds.

The new home consists of five units occupied by palace staff on 35 acres. Plans are to convert it into a 10-bedroom home complete with nursery, gym and yoga studio, according to The Sun.

Meghan is reportedly due next spring with the child, who will be seventh in line to the British throne
