Watch live: Trump and first lady at NATO welcoming ceremony

July 11 (UPI) -- President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump will participate in a welcoming ceremony at the NATO summit in Belgium Wednesday.

The ceremony is scheduled for 1:15 p.m. EDT.

Trump and the first lady arrived in Belgium Tuesday and the president attended the conference's opening day Wednesday. In his remarks, he criticized NATO members that aren't meeting what he sees as sufficient financial commitments to defense.

The ceremony will last about an hour, after which Trump will attend a multilateral meeting of the North Atlantic Council. The couple will spend Wednesday night at the Chief of Mission Residence in Brussels.
