Trump administration releases North Korea summit coin

May 21 (UPI) -- The Trump administration on Monday released a commemorative coin in honor of the planned summit between President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in June.

The White House Communications Agency, which is under the Defense Information Systems Agency, made 250 of the coins, which shows Air Force One flying over the White House on one side, and images of Trump and Kim facing off in front of their respective flags on the other side. The coin identifies Kim as "supreme leader."

The two leaders are expected to meet June 12 in Singapore to discuss North Korea denuclearization, though last week North Korean threatened to pull out of the talks over military exercises between the United States and South Korea. The North canceled its talks with the South over the drills.

Last week, Trump said he wasn't aware of any changes in negotiations with Kim and was willing to offer security guarantees. Though he has said that if he can't assure success, he's willing to walk away from the planned talks.
