Oct. 17 (UPI) -- North Korea denounced the United States on Tuesday and claimed the U.S. military is deploying strategic assets to the peninsula because it is "being pushed into a corner" and deploying last-resort methods against a nuclear North.
Pyongyang's state-controlled KCNA said Tuesday the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan, the nuclear-powered submarine USS Michigan and the supersonic B1-B bomber were being sent near its shores in response to North Korea's "rapid development of nuclear weapons."
