Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Officials said at least 18 soccer fans were injured when a barrier separating them from the field collapsed during a French club match, sending the first several rows of people tumbling.

The incident happened during a Ligue 1 match between local clubs Lille and Amiens, at the latter's home pitch, called Stade de la Licorne. The section of the stadium where the incident happened held Lille fans, who were celebrating the match's opening goal during the 15th minute.
