Watch: Trump, Macron speak in Paris

July 13 (UPI) -- President Donald Trump held a joint news conference with newly elected French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday afternoon.

Trump and first lady Melania Trump arrived in Paris earlier Thursday and met with Macron at the Élysée Palace before the joint conference.

Trump, who previously expressed concern with France, arrived in Paris on Bastille Day -- and the 100th anniversary of the United States' entry into World War I.
