April 8 (UPI) -- A series of earthquakes struck the Philippines province of Batangas on Saturday, causing damages and leaving some areas without power.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology recorded the first tremor northwest of the city of Mabini at 3:07 p.m., followed by a second stronger quake at 3:09 p.m. with a 6.0 magnitude. No serious injuries were reported immediately.
