MANILA, Jan. 10 (UPI) -- The U.S. Geological Survey said a 7.3-magnitude earthquake occurred in the Celebes Sea between the Philippines and Indonesia on Tuesday.
The quake occurred at a depth of about 380 miles. Officials did not issue a tsunami warning, advisory, watch or threat, the U.S. National Tsunami Warning Center said.
People up to 566 miles away from the earthquake's epicenter in Malaysia's town of Ranau reported that they felt tremors, the U.S. Geological Survey said. People also felt the quake in Indonesia's city of Manado, as well as in several cities in the Philippines including Davao.
There were no reports of damage or injuries.
