SEOUL, Oct. 29 (UPI) -- Thousands of South Koreans took to the streets Saturday calling for the resignation of President Park Geun-hye over allegations she leaked state documents to a close friend.
South Koreans carried signs and changed "step down Park Geun-Hye" and "Who's the real president?" after she ordered the resignation of her 10 senior secretaries in the scandal. Police said some 8,000 people attended the protest in Seoul, while organizers put the crowd at about 20,000. Similar protests took place in Busan and other provincial cities.
