LONDON, April 22 (UPI) -- President Barack Obama probably wasn't used to meeting a major political figure who's younger than either of his daughters -- but he got the chance in London.

During his trip to Great Britain, Obama met Prince George of Cambridge Friday -- undoubtedly quite a memorable occasion for both of them.

George, the 2-year-old son of Prince William and Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, got to stay up (probably past his bedtime) to meet with the American leader. The introduction was captured by White House photographer Pete Souza.

The visit came before Obama dined with the royal couple at Kensington Palace.

Little George, who is third in line to Great Britain's throne, has drawn the admiration of the world since his birth in 2013.

Obama's visit comes after a trip to Saudi Arabia for a security summit and a meeting in London Friday with British Prime Minister David Cameron.

During the trip Obama also met with Queen Elizabeth II, who turned 90 Thursday.
