PARIS, Jan. 5 (UPI) -- Paris began a week-long remembrance of last year's Charlie Hebdo massacre Tuesday with moments of silence and ceremonies across the city.
In a light rain, a plaque was unveiled by French President François Hollande, Prime Minister Manuel Valls, Paris Mayor Anne Hildalgo and other officials near the site of the offices of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, where 12 people were killed by two attackers. Other plaques were erected at the boulevard Richard Lenoir, where a police officer was shot and killed, and at a Hyper Cacher supermarket, where four more people were abducted and killed.
