LEFKADA , Greece, Nov. 17 (UPI) -- An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale killed two people on the Greek island of Lefkada, authorities said.
The quake struck Monday morning off the coast in the Ionian Sea and at a depth of 3.1 miles (five kilometers), Greece's National Observatory reported, causing widespread damage to villages on the southwestern side of the island and to their network of roads.
