Trudeau's father, Pierre Trudeau, served as the PM of Canada for nearly 16 years. He became the 15th Prime Minister of Canada in April 1968 and served until June 1968 and resumed his role in March 1980 until June 1984. Pierre Trudeau died Sept. 28, 2000.
In 2012, Trudeau beat Conservative Sen. Patrick Brazeau in the third round of the charity boxing match. The victory was considered an upset.
Trudeau and Grégoire met in 2003 at a Canadian Grand Prix event. They married on May 28, 2005, and have two children: Xavier James Trudeau, 8, and Ella-Grace Margaret, 5.
