KABUL, Afghanistan, July 13 (UPI) -- The death toll from a suicide bomb at a U.S. military base in eastern Afghanistan has risen to 33, an Afghan official reported Monday.
It was originally reported that 25 people died when a car bomb exploded at a military roadblock at Camp Chapman in Khost province on July 12. The roadblock was manned by an Afghan unit which guards the camp. Twenty-three others were injured. Six security guards were among those killed, all civilians, Mobariz Zadran, the spokesman of the provincial governor, announced Monday.
