BUENOS AIRES, Feb. 4 (UPI) -- An arrest warrant for Argentine President Cristina Kirchner drafted by dead prosecutor Alberto Nisman was found in his garbage.

The draft dates back to June 2014, but was not included in the criminal report Nisman submitted days before his death. The draft, released in part by Clarín, called for the "detention and prohibition from leaving the country" of Kirchner and Argentina's Foreign Minister Héctor Timerman.

"It would have provoked a crisis without precedents in Argentina," Sergio Berensztein, a political analyst, said. "It would have been a scandal on a level previously unseen."

Congress in Argentina would have had to revoke immunity granted to members of the executive to carry out the arrests.

Nisman accused President Kirchner and others of a coverup related to the 1994 bombing of the Asociación Mutual Israelita Argentina (AMIA) Jewish center in which 85 people died. Kirchner and Timerman have denied the accusations.

Nisman was found dead on Jan. 18 by his mother. He was to appear in a congressional committee hearing the next day to present a criminal complaint against President Kirchner.

Argentina's government said that Nisman's accusations and death were linked to a power struggle in the intelligence agency.

The nature of Nisman's death, whether suicide or murder, has not been determined. He was buried Jan. 29 at a Jewish cemetery.
