MOSCOW, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- A transmission tower in Moscow has been painted yellow and blue, the colors of the Ukrainian flag, in an apparent act of solidarity with Ukraine.

It is the second time in one week that a structure inside Moscow has been painted yellow and blue.

On Twitter, the public relations arms of the Euromaidan movement whose demonstrations led to the removal of pro-Russian leadership, welcomed the latest show of Ukrainian support from inside Russia, tweeting "Thank you unknown but real HUMANS..."

It is unclear where in Moscow the transmission tower is located or who was responsible for the paint job.

Photos of the transmission tower were posted to social media on Thursday.

The painting of a Moscow transmission tower comes just days after another apparent act of Ukrainian solidarity from inside Russia. Earlier this week, unidentified activists painted an iconic emblem atop a 32-story Stalin-era skyscraper in Moscow yellow and blue.
