Jon Stewart highlights disparities in Israeli-Gaza conflict

The reporter in Gaza looks like "an extra from 'The Hurt Locker'" and the reporter in Israel looks like "he's going to bang out his stand-up and then head to Jimmy Buffet concert."

TEL AVIV, Israel, July 17 (UPI) -- Returning from the Daily Show's summer break Monday, Jon Stewart did a segment on the disparities in the defense systems in Israel and Gaza.

In his segment, "(500) Crazies of Summer," he pointed out that while Israelis are notified of attacksby an app notification on their smartphones, in Gaza, they are notified by a "knock on the roof" of the building that is about to be struck.

Stewart exemplified the discrepancies in safety by showing clips of a reporters doing stand-ups in each country, one looking like "an extra from The Hurt Locker," and the other dressed like "he's going to bang out his stand-up and then head to Jimmy Buffet concert" in Israel.
