British authorities arrest Syrian terror suspect

A 32-year-old man was arrested in west London on Wednesday as part of an investigation into "suspected terrorist activity in Syria."

LONDON, July 2 (UPI) -- British police arrested a 32-year-old man on terrorism charges at a house in west London on Wednesday.

The Metropolitan Police Service said the arrest comes amid an investigation into "suspected terrorist activity in Syria."

The man has been accused of committing fraud by false representation and terror financing.

The police are also searching 12 other locations in and around London related to the arrest.

Police declined to identify the suspect.
